About Me
My name is Park Barton and I’ve been practicing bankruptcy law for over 32 years. I handle Chapter 7 and Chapter 13 bankruptcy filings for individuals and small businesses. My roots run deep here in Tuscaloosa – I got my law degree from the University in 1975.
All too often, it seems, growth causes good lawyers to end up becoming business managers instead of doing what they do best – helping people. My practice has been intentionally kept small for all of these years, so that I may provide the kind of personalized service my clients deserve.
I am admitted to practice before the Supreme Court of Alabama, all state courts of the State of Alabama, and the U.S. District Court of the Northern District of Alabama.
As an active member of the Alabama Bar Association, the Alabama Association for Justice, and the National Association of Consumer Bankruptcy Attorneys, I work hard to stay abreast of new laws and business developments affecting my clients.
I am a graduate of Max Gardner’s highly esteemed Bankruptcy Boot Camp, which educates lawyers in the best techniques for defending clients from foreclosure by predatory lenders.
Above all, I’m a member of your community, a concerned citizen, and a seasoned professional dedicated to helping individuals and families here in West Alabama find financial relief and the promise of a better tomorrow.
